Submission

Why do we need submission ? The world around us encourages us to be self-reliant and independent. Meanwhile, the Church strongly encourages the opposite: submission. Or, will we rejoice and “move on with our lives"?  Order May's Devotional Now        It is so easy to let go of our lenten obligations because we can, instead of allowing it to be a springboard for our faith. Why don’t we continue our daily scripture reflections? Why don’t we continue our extra time in front  of the Blessed Sacrament? Why don’t we continue praying the Rosary together as a family?  As a family of seven, I understand that is so much easier to minimize and to cut back on anything extra in our routine to save sanity. But, why is it that the things we cut out are the most vital to maintaining our sani...
